About Us
Since 2005 we have been providing love, shelter, education, and support to children who are victims of various injustices in southwestern Uganda.
We support our children from primary school through University. It is our vision that all of the children in our programs will become self-sufficient and in turn help the community around them.

"I continue to believe that if children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams."
- David Vitter

From Humble Beginnings
to Scientific Success!
Manasi joined our family under extraordinary circumstances—having lost his parents at a very young age, he worked for food and shelter in a relative’s home before joining our home.
As our first college graduate, Manasi’s journey quickly became a story of resilience and achievement. After earning his undergraduate degree, he received a prestigious scholarship to pursue a master’s in chemical and biological engineering in South Korea.
Manasi continued to excel, completing his PhD in 2024 and now contributing as a scientist at Merck, where his passion and talent make a meaningful impact every day.

From Resident to Role Model!
Nusura came to our home as a young girl, brought by a compassionate missionary who helped her escape a difficult and abusive situation.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in business & accounting, Nusura became the manager of our projects in Uganda. Since 2017, she has lovingly cared for our children, embracing the role of a mother and mentor.
Recently, Nusura embarked on a new chapter in her life, marrying and welcoming her own child. We are truly grateful for her unwavering dedication.

Our First Baby has Graduated!
Grace came to our home when she was just six months old and was our very first baby.
When our executive director, Evon David, retired from Christalis in 2016, she began the adoption process for Grace, as she had been the only mother Grace had ever known.
After a long process, Grace joined Evon in the United States in 2022. This year, it was a joyous moment to celebrate Grace’s high school graduation in the US, marking a bright new chapter in her life.
